What I have learnt about digital SLR cameras is to pre plan the task using a story board, this is what the use of the cameras was for. The cameras were reasonably easy to use and only took basic knowledge to achieve the results we were after. The only function we used was the basic camera with no zoom and no flash. We got the images from the camera to our story board by using a data lead into the computer which we then uploaded to photo shop to create a story board. Example of the shots we took are below.

What I have learnt about organising the film is to make sure first of all you have the permission to use the area you originally use for the day of your filming, also we had to re film one small part of the film due to a jump cut, one of the actors was not in during this so I had to use another actor which is therefore a waste of time. This therefore is due to a lack of planning and also problems with not being able to stick with the storyboard. What I have learnt about using digital video cameras was a number of factors the main mistake which seemed to be made was due to people being unsure about the technology and they were accidentally using the fading tool, despite being not to confident about using the technology I was not unlucky enough to make this mistake. The general film function was mainly used with the camera positioned on top of a tripod.

To upload my footage form the DV camera on to premier i used a cable which lead from the digital video camera into the back of the PC, from here i then opened the footage into a program called adobe on location which helps me cut down the footage to the clips I need to create the production. By editing through the tape this automatically adds the bits edited into a file which you can then open into Adobe premier to put together the production.
The program I used for the editing process what adobe premire, once I had imported the slips from Onloaction I could then go on to trim the further and place them onto a storyboard, the main tool is used was the razor tool which I used to trim down the clips in order to make the production for smooth and to pass the contunity editing task. I was resonablly ploeased with the outcome although there was a few jump cuts which I tried my best to cover up, and perhaps I should of used of taken more shots of the diffrerent scenes in order to pick the best shot. Certain parts over the editing task were tedious, and I made a few mistakes which caused me to have to redo the process, the only problem I encoutered was trying to mask up jump cuts which orignally in some places were very evident therefore it took a short period of time to cover up these problems.
The technology used to upload the video was youtube, I put the this on my blog using the embed html which is supplied by youtube this is therefor added into the HTML section.
The blogger helped me to collate the information and ideas I need in a more presentable way, therefore creating a more pleasing to the eye blog page which would make the work look more pleasurable.
